Serviceton Stationcompleted in 1889 is heritage listed and home to the border dispute. Serviceton station recalls the former importance of border stations on the nineteenth century inter-Colonial rail routes. It is a large two storey building with the prominent entrance made up of a round arched lobby approached by a flight of steps. The lower basement accommodated customs prior to Federation, lamp room, railway staff and surveyors quarters. The ground floor level accommodated toilets, waiting rooms, dining and sitting room, bar and kitchen, offices, lobby and customs office. The size of the complex and excessive standards of accommodation are a monument to the Land Boom years. Continue your rail journey with the Overland Museum and explore local history at the Kaniva Historical Museum, all open by appointment.

Murtoa The Stick Shed.Built as a wartime emergency grain store, this heritage listed shed was the first of its kind to be built in Victoria, and the last grain stick shed in use in Australia. Heritage Listed Railway Water Tower (1886), Explore the impressive 4-storey, 13-metre high Water Tower Museum, which hosts the unique James Hill Taxidermy Collection with over 500 birds and other fauna, as well as historic artefacts, memorabilia and household and farming tools from 1890’s. West of Kaniva Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre,In 1940 the Royal Australian Airforce established a training base at Nhill, which by 1945 had seen well over 10,000 service men and women live, work and train. The Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre is situated on the original site of the RAAF training base and provides a glimpse of those times and life through informative displays and memorabilia including the four main training aircraft stationed at the base during WWII. Open weekends 10am - 4pm. Pella near Rainbow, St John's Lutheran Church was built in 1911 and houses a magnificently restored pipe organ. The manse and primary school both house historical displays of the local area. Nearby is the heritage listed Stasinowsky Lime Kiln. Built in 1914, it was the source of lime for many of the limestone buildings in the region. Pella Mystery House is a small two room dwelling is found 500 metres further into the bush block past Stasinowsky Lime Kiln. More. The Dimboola Historical Society has two Museums: Courthouse Museum and Dimboola Letterpress Print Museum. The Museum, the old 1875 Courthouse, houses displays and photographs. Records include the “Dimboola Banner” newspaper, est. 1879 in bound form from 1920s and microfilm from 1880s. More

South of Kaniva Edenhope, visit the historic Courthouse built 1878 with magistrate's bench, prisoner dock and lock up. Discover its many stories including the Maryvale murders and the history of Edenhope. The Old Court House, a listed building, has been preserved in immaculate condition. Adjacent is the wooden prison lockup built in 1860-1870, Historic Courthouse, open daily, free entry.
Harrowis a historic town on the banks of the Glenelg River. The Harrow Discovery Centre and the historic Hermitage Hotel are well worth a visit. Many main street buildings are well maintained and make for a pleasant walk. Open daily. More
Hamilton Botanical Gardens, established in 1853, are historically significant as one of the earliest provincial botanic gardens, being the fourth oldest in Victoria. They have a special association with the work of William Guilfoyle, regarded as one of Australia's greatest garden designers.
