serviceton reservoir

A 20 minute drive west of Kaniva, on the Western highway is Serviceton Reservoir. A peaceful spot for fishing, canoeing, swimming, bush camping and walking the dog.

The area is very basic, but features a floating pontoon, rudimentary walking track, picnic table and small shelter. There are no toilets and there is some highway noise at night. As always, please take your rubbish home with you. NB: The turn off is well hidden from the highway and signage is poor. Use your GPS to find this isolated spot. The entrance in is a dirt road, which is not maintained, so be aware of weather conditions for the vehicle you are in. 4WD recommended.

Whilst in the area Serviceton Railway Station is worth a visit and Serviceton Camping Ground is ideal for caravanners and big rigs with powered sites available.
