The event was organised by the Kaniva A&P Society and celebrated over 100 years of Kaniva's racing history, it featured displays, an afternoon tea and gala evening. Local artist Kelly Meyer painted a sheep to commemorate the event located between the Commercial Hotel and the Midway Motel. The sheep was named Darryl of Bindarra after local racing legend Darryl Dodson. The event won the West Wimmera Shire Council Australia Day Community Event of the Year for 2021
