Kaniva's Biggest Morning Tea
The Kaniva Cancer Council Volunteer Group is excited to host Kaniva’s Biggest Morning Tea at the Kaniva Community HUB, Kaniva Recreational Reserve. This annual event brings the community together to enjoy a delicious morning tea while raising vital funds for Cancer Council Victoria and supporting the KLU Football & Netball Club. We are grateful for the support of the Kaniva Football & Netball Catering team, who are assisting with this year’s event. Attendees can look forward to our popular Produce Stall, Raffle, and Lucky Door Prizes—please bring cash as card facilities will not be available. This year’s event coincides with a Pupil Free Day for Kaniva College Students, and we warmly invite mums and children of all ages to join us. A dedicated play area will be available for younger children. We welcome everyone in the community to come together for a meaningful cause, enjoy a wonderful morning tea, and help support cancer research and those affected by cancer. Webpage.

One in three people will need blood at some point in their lives—and that lifesaving donation might not be there without community support. The Mobile Donor Centre will be set up at the Bordertown Football Oval, Woolshed Street from 10.45 am to 7.15 pm and Thursday 22 May from 7.30 am to 12.15 pm. Bookings

Got a health concern or just not sure about something? Come along to the Op Shop for a free consultation with a friendly Registered Nurses. Whether you have a simple question or need advice, pop in for a chat about your health and wellbeing. Our Registered Nurse can help you with health concerns and how to access services, including support for foot problems like accessing podiatry, social support options, advice if you are having falls or balance concerns, information on the Parent Day Stay program for unsettled babies, and how to access cancer screenings such as mammograms. You can also have a blood pressure or general health check—and more! No appointment needed—just drop in, it’s all about supporting each other.
