21st - 22nd March South East Field Days The South East Field Days is a premier two day agricultural event held annually in March at a purpose built facility in the township of Lucindale South Australia. With over 500 exhibitors the focus is on showcasing the latest in agricultural products, services, and equipment. Competitions including the South Australian Yard Dog Association State Championships as well as a Scrap Metal Art Competition always attract plenty. Fri 2nd - Sun 4th May Square Dancing Weekend Away The Square Dance Community of Australia have chosen Kaniva for their members only fun-filled Square Dancing Weekend. The Kaniva Shire Hall will come alive with dances led by the vibrant Ralphie Baby from VIC and Scotty Scott from SA. Kicking off on Friday night with dinner at the Club Hotel, followed by lively dancing, the weekend includes a pancake breakfast, afternoon workshops, and a big Saturday night dinner and dance. On Sunday, members will enjoy a sausage sizzle lunch and a special learner session open to the whole community. Full weekend passes are $40 for adults, $20 for those under 18, and $120 for families.
