Book a Guided Wiregrass Walking Tour
Step into the mythical world of Wiregrass and discover the place and stories that inspired one of Australia's most celebrated cartoonists. Led by local volunteers, this interactive guided walking tour brings Percy Leason's famous Wiregrass cartoons to life while exploring the social history of rural Victoria during the 1920s and 1930s.

As you walk along Commercial Street, you'll discover how bush towns such as Kaniva, experienced a period of enormous change. Motor cars replaced horses, electricity transformed daily life, and people endured the hardships of the Great Depression. Through humour and keen observation, Percy Leason captured these changes in his famous Wiregrass cartoons, captured how ordinary people navigated this changing world.
