This lake is at less than 20% capacity for 2021/22. NB, Whilst this lake is empty - stay at the Jeparit Caravan Park. This is a low cost council run site, with excellent toilets and showers. Lake Hindmarsh This is Victoria's largest natural fresh water lake and is very popular for swimming, fishing and boating activities. Four-Mile Beach, on the southern shore of the lake, is a popular spot for fishing, swimming, boating and water-skiing. There are camping facilities, a boat ramp and hot showers. Picnic Point beach and a water-skiing club can be found on the south-eastern shore. Schulze's Beach also has a boat ramp and lies on the western shore while Williamson's Beach is located on the north-western shore.
In the area Nearby, the Wimmera Mallee Pioneer Museum is highly recommended. Heading north of Jeparit is the town of Rainbow - highlights include Silo Art at Albacutya, Yurunga Homestead, Pella Church and Turbo Gallery.
