Kaniva's Biggest Morning Tea is an event not to be missed.
Each year, the Kaniva Cancer Council Volunteer Unit hosts this special event in May, for a morning filled with delicious treats for around one hundred people, with a shared commitment to supporting the Cancer Council Victoria.
What to Expect:
Scrumptious Morning Tea: Enjoy an array of homemade goodies, the type that country towns are known for.
Trading Table: Purchase fresh produce, homemade cakes, slices, preserves, local flowers and more.
Raffles and Prizes: Buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of four quality prizes. Keep hold of your door ticket to win some lucky door prizes.
Community Spirit: Enjoy the company of your friends and neighbours. Includes a children's corner so mums can enjoy their time too.
How You Can Help:
Volunteer: Whether it’s baking, setting up, or helping out on the day, or selling raffle tickets down the street, we welcome all hands on deck.
Become a member: We meet bi monthly on the first Monday of the month, 2pm, Kaniva Uniting Church Hall meeting room.

Our History Kaniva Cancer Council formed in 1989. Dawn Maddern was instrumental in running Gown of the Year at the Kaniva Shire Hall as a major fundraiser for many years. The group have also organised garden walks and take part in Daffodil Day, normally held in the third week of August. By 2019, the group had raised around $150,000 for the Cancer Council.
