Bill’s Gully Hall and Reserve
Located just 15 minutes from Kaniva, Bill’s Gully Hall and Reserve (est 1913) offers a peaceful, tranquil escape. You’ll find it along Bill’s Gully Road, off Miram South Road.

History
Bill’s Gully takes its name from bushranger Mad Dan Morgan — also known as Bill the Native or Bill the Spaniard — who was said to camp out in the gully. The hall houses fascinating newspaper clippings detailing his exploits.

Nature & Seasonal ChangesAfter rain, the gully transforms as it fills with water, creating a picturesque setting for visitors and campers.
Facilities & HireThe hall is available for hire at a nominal fee, which includes access to the basic bush kitchen. It’s perfect for educational community functions as well as private parties.
The reserve features:
  • Pit toilets
  • Fireplace
  • Peaceful group camping area
  • Waterhole (suitable for kayaking when full)

  • Camping Ground only: $20
  • Hall Hire: $50
  • Hall & Grounds: $75
  • Hall & Grounds (full weekend): $150
