4 Wheel Driving

The best times to visit is from April through to October. This area has some of the best 4WDing providing a variety of challenging driving experiences. Most camp sites are basic bush camps with pit toilets. There is no charge, but please ensure fires are kept to fireplaces and extinguished fully. You will need to bring your own firewood and water and it is advisable to travel with another vehicle as there are no rescue services with limited, to no mobile coverage. Do not attempt to visit the Little & Big Desert in summer or in dry conditions, as the roads are too sandy and there is a high risk of fire.

This is a fragile environment and it warrants our care in every way. Please stick to the designated tracks and leave no trace to minimise your impact. Plan ahead and prepare. Dispose of waste correctly, Respect the wildlife. Be considerate of other visitors.

Most tracks are not signposted. Map, Compass, GPS and CBs are also recommended.
